Have you met Moose?

Moose is a 2 year old Boxer-Saint Bernard cross (heavy on the Saint) who joins his mom Skippy at work! Skippy and Moose enjoy their time visiting students at their school, and participating in many other CAAWLS events!

Meet Moose and Skippy

“I am the proud mum of 2 human sons and 4 canine sons.  I am fortunate to live in the country so my husband and I always have a steady 4-pack of dogs.  I am a MASTER quill remover and I love all water sports and all breweries.  Moose came to our family through our vet.  He was surrendered as a two month old pup because he became ill with parvovirus.  Our vet saved him and contacted his soon to be forever family, to see if they had room for a puppy. Our answer was “of course!” I had the good fortune to become involved with CAAWLS when my school district adopted a policy of allowing dogs at school if they had been vetted first.  It has been an excellent experience both at school and at the various CAAWLS events.  I love the feeling of bringing a smile to people's faces and to legitimately get to talk about my dogs because I was asked. It has also developed a different bond between my volunteer dog, Moose and myself.  He is my honey-bunny, moon-pie.”

Keep an eye out for Moose at our summer fundraiser events, Pups on the Patio!
