Dr. Legge is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Psychology at MacEwan University. At MacEwan, Dr. Legge is involved in research and teaches courses on topics such as learning and behaviour, comparative cognition, and companion animal behaviour and therapy. Dr. Legge completed his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland, and both his Master of Science (2008) and Doctor of Philosophy (2013) degrees at the University of Alberta. All Dr. Legge’s degrees were completed in the field of Psychology, with his graduate degrees focusing on the comparative study of learning, behaviour, and memory.
Dr. Legge became involved with CAAWLS in late 2016, after meeting other CAAWLS board members at a conference on Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) in Edmonton, Alberta. Dr. Legge became a board member shortly thereafter, and is now the Chair of the board subcommittee on research and education.
